Allow around 3–5 hours for a full keratin service, depending on your hair length, thickness, and natural texture.

This includes consultation, cleansing, application, processing time, blow‑dry and ironing to seal everything in.

Colour and smoothing can work beautifully together, but timing matters.

Bleaching of hair should be done before getting a keratin treatment, the keratin will remove the toner slightly, but you can then just get it retoned the next day.

Brunettes, keratin treatment should be done before going darker.

You can swim, but salt water and chlorine will shorten the life of your keratin treatment if you are not careful.

Using SFHaircare Lux Hair Oil will protect your hair before swimming, apply to damp hair, then once you've finished swimming for the day.

I'ts recommended to use SFHaircare Products at home to wash your hair to keep the longevity of your Keratin Treatment lasting.

SFH Keratin (Brazilian-style):

Outcome: Enhanced smoothness, diminished frizz, simplified blow-drying, decreased volume, and markedly reduced curl/texture. A light lift of hair colour may be seen after the treatment, but it's usually barely noticeable.

Produces far smoother hair than nanoplasty, yielding enduring results with straighter, softer, and exceptionally lustrous hair.

Each application of SFH keratin has a cumulative impact, resulting in progressively improved outcomes.

This reduces the need on heat styling equipment, promoting faster, healthier hair growth with less damage to the ends and throughout the whole strand.

Utilises keratin in conjunction with a formaldehyde source, binding the product's keratin to the hair's inherent keratin, so creating a film that maintains smoother and straighter hair for up to six months.

Adequate ventilation, operational fans, open windows, and masks are supplied for each customer to ensure maximum comfort.

Nanoplasty: Outcome: Hair that is volumized, with a slight reduction in frizz and curl pattern, that can last for 2 to 4 months, provided that the procedure is performed by a trained professional with a minimum of 4 years of experience.

The product is marketed as "formaldehyde-free" and contains glyoxylic acid or glyoxyloyl derivatives, as well as amino acids and silicones.

These ingredients are concealed in the ingredients label to ensure that they meet the category of "free from harsh chemicals."

However, when heated, these ingredients can release formaldehyde.

Hair colour undergoes a dramatic change, with the potential to be three levels lighter.

Nanoplasty can result in structural damage that is at least as severe, and occasionally more severe, than formaldehyde straighteners, particularly when their formulations are highly acidic.

This damage includes protein loss, reduced break strength, and increased cuticle irregularity.

Hairstylists who perform nanoplasty do not employ any form of ventilation, blowers, hoods, or opened windows, for the safety of themselves and their clients. This should certainly be performed at their salon, however, they do not do so because they believe their treatment does not contain any hazardous ingredients, which is absolutely incorrect.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Nanoplasty as a hair treatment, as my opinion as a Keratin hair master is that the hair does not feel as silky, glossy, or smooth as SFH keratin, plus they also contain harmful ingredients when heated, but no protection is provided for their clients.

For safety and ethical reasons, I do not perform keratin treatments on children or on clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Keratin is a chemical smoothing service that involves active ingredients and heat, which can produce vapours during the process.

While different brands claim varying levels of safety, there is not enough long‑term, independent research to guarantee that these treatments are completely risk‑free for developing babies or young children.

Out of caution and care, I choose to avoid any potential exposure for these groups and recommend waiting until you are no longer pregnant or breastfeeding, and for children until they are 16 years of age or older and able to make an informed decision about chemical services.

To protect your investment, it is important to use SFHaircare Products as they are sulfate‑free, keratin‑safe shampoo and conditioner, plus a good heat protectant from SFHaircare Conditioning Mist, when blow‑drying or ironing.

The wrong products (strong detergents, clarifying shampoos) can strip the treatment much faster.

Yes my formula can work very well on highlighted, bleached, or damaged hair, as they add smoothness and shine.
